What Do RC Car Guys Do When It Rains?

Well it’s been a not so sunny week here in NorCal, with rain nearly every day, which makes filming for Youtube interesting to say the least!

The cars are mainly waterproof, the camera’s waterproof, but….one spot of rain on the go pro lens and that’s my day ruined!

Running the fast rc cars has been an issue as even when it’s not raining it’s been too wet on the ground to do any fast speed runs, so I got busy in my RC workshop instead! Enjoy!

SG1604 Review

Here’s our review of the SG1604 Drift car from Banggood, at under $90 it represents huge value as it comes with the stock (Grippyy) tires and a set of drift wheels as well. Each battery lasts 20mins and it comes with either 2 batteries here – https://www.banggood.com/custlink/mGmh99WeSE. Or 3 batteries here – https://www.banggood.com/custlink/DGDY8ipg5k included with it.

In this video we show you what you get for your money (It has the coolest headlights of any rc car going!), and how it handles in the wet. Is it waterproof? And does the ESP/Gyro work? Well we find out the answer to both of those questions in this review of the SG1604.

It handles well in the wet on the stock tires and seems to be pretty waterproof although the gremlins crept in at the end of our SG1604 test run, I am happy to say when the car had dried out for an hour it was all running fine.

The car is well built with an all metal drivetrain. For the money it’s very hard to get a better RC drift car under $100
